Three Sisters One Brother

Gap II production – June 2018

Directed by Ross McGregor

True grit of 1890s Australia in an adaptation of a Chekhov classic.

Adapted from Chekhov’s Three Sisters, the play has been given an Aussie flavour to suit a variety of conditions, characters, historical facts and politics.

The play explores how a young family, ripped away from their homeland to settle thousands of miles away, are continually reminded that this promised Eden seems to wilfully slip through their fingers and keeps pulling them back to what was never real.
