Ross McGregor
Ross McGregor has long been a professional teacher, director, producer, writer and mentor in the entertainment industry. He has taught at NIDA, WAAPA, VCA, QUT, and ACA among others, including universities in USA. He taught Directing and Screen Coverage and Script Editing as Casting Director and Head of Directing at AFTRS for 12 years. As a theatre and artistic director he has helmed some 50 productions as well as producing and directing television. There are a great many actors and directors now working in the Industry whom he has taught and mentored.
Ellis Pearson
Ellis is a painter, a sculptor, a maker of theatre, a theatre Director, an actor, a magician, a juggler, a mime, a musician, a funny man and now a teacher of creativity. He combines his wonderful inventiveness with a crazy sense of humour to create works of art and theatre that appeal to audiences anywhere in the world.
Since the early 1990’s Ellis has worked as a independent actor, teacher and creator of theatre. With colleagues, he created many original works and toured their unique brand of theatre all over the world: North America and Canada, Europe and Scandinavia, and performing in festivals in South Korea, Singapore, India, Australia and New Zealand.
Ellis trained for 2 years at the Ecole Jacques Lecoq in Paris, 1980-1982. The Lecoq school was founded by the French actor, mime and acting instructor – most famous for his methods on physical theatre, movement, mime and mask work.
In his work in the movie industry, Ellis has won ‘Best Supporting Actor’ awards in both “The Angel, the Bicycle and the Chinaman’s Finger” and “Paljas”.
Angela Punch McGregor
Angela Punch McGregor teaches voice at the Actors’ Hub. Starting in the 1970s, she has appeared in countless television, stage and film productions, winning a number of AFI and AACTA Awards for best actress in leading and support roles. Her film credits include The Chant of Jimmie Blacksmith and We of the Never Never.
Angela has taught at NIDA, WAAPA and the Actors Centre Sydney, and directed a number of productions for WAAPA. As well as teaching, she continues to work within the industry in a directing and performing capacity.
Bob Brisbane
Bob Brisbane is the music and singing coach at the Actors’ Hub.
His vast experience of performing, playing and teaching for over 20 years is reflected in the demand for Bob as a vocalist. Bob is undoubtedly one of the best male voices in Perth.
As well performing with Souled Out, Back to Back, Rush Hour , Hothouse and Retrofit, he has provided the voice for many locally and nationally produced television and radio commercials.
During his time as a professional musician he has even had the pleasure to support such acts as Joan Armatrading, Crowded House and the great James Brown.
Tain Molendijk
Dee Ahsing
Dee recruits aspiring actors for the Actors’ Hub, who exhibit potential and most importantly , passion to build a successful career in the performing arts industry . She develops and maintains relationships with schools and other education bodies to facilitate the search that no stone is left un turned and that true talent is found. She works at making all budding actors aware of the professional training available at the Actors Hub.
