The Blind Eye Trilogy
Written and Directed by Amanda Crewes
November 11, 12 2025 @ 6pm
Our production company, The Actors’ Hub Studios, after a WA regional tour, is returning to Perth with two of the shows from The Blind Eye Trilogy — a powerful theatre experience driving meaningful cultural change across Western Australia.
This acclaimed series uses raw, real stories to shine a light on the challenges our communities face, inviting us all to rethink how we live, relate, and build safer, more connected futures. It’s more than a show — it’s a catalyst for hope, empathy, and collective action that you won’t want to miss.
The Blind Eye Trilogy is a bold, unforgettable journey into the heart of issues that shape our communities — with stories that move, challenge, and inspire real change.
- A gripping exploration of mateship, strength, and respect that challenges old narratives, One Punch Wonder grips you with its raw, athletic exploration of toxic masculinity and street violence. This high-energy performance invites audiences to confront the pressures young men face and sparks hope for a future where strength means respect, not harm.
- A heartfelt story that reimagines love, connection, and healing in families and communities, Is There Anybody Out There? takes you on a poignant, sometimes haunting journey through the myths of romantic love and the realities of family violence. It blends real and imagined stories to envision hope, healing, and the possibility of new beginnings.
Attending these performances is more than watching a show—it’s an immersive experience. The powerful storytelling is designed to open hearts and minds, while the live energy pulls you into the community’s lived realities. After each show, audiences are invited to join post-show discussions to share perspectives, and connect with others committed to prevention and change. These conversations amplify the impact, turning awareness into action.

Much Ado About Nothing
by William Shakespeare
Directed by Amanda Crewes
November 20th – 29th 2025 @ 7pm
& matinee on November 22nd @ 2pm
Get ready to boogie with Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing — the ultimate battle of the sexes meets the ultimate era of disco fever.
When soldiers return from war, the party starts, the music’s loud, and love is most definitely in the air. In a world buzzing with colour, charm, and chaos, Beatrice and Benedick are two razor-sharp minds who would rather win an argument than fall in love. Armed with killer wit and sexual tension thick enough to slice with a cocktail umbrella. But when their friends play matchmaker, the games begin — and the line between love and loathing gets deliciously blurred.
Meanwhile, lovebirds Claudio and Hero prove that communication wasn’t any easier before mobile phones — especially after a few too many drinks — and when wedding plans are thrown into chaos by deceit and jealousy, even the sharpest minds must learn shut up and listen to their hearts.
Set to the rhythm of a 70s-inspired world where love and laughter never go out of style, this production celebrates Shakespeare’s sharpest comedy with a fresh, funky twist. Expect bright lights, bold moves, bell-bottoms, platformed shoes, mini skirts, jumpsuits, side-burns, denim, rebellious streaks, afros, feathered blowouts, moustaches, leather, bold patterns, disco balls, turtlenecks… (you get the point 😉). And the timeless thrill of watching two people fall head over heels — even when they swear they never will. Between the gossip, the mistaken identities, and the dance floor drama, it’s a wonder anyone makes it to happily ever after.
